Biography of Dr. Kyle Jones
Dr. Jones graduated from Texas A&M in 1982. He taught high school and coached basketball for 5 years before entering Texas Tech School of Medicine in 1992. He earned his doctor of medicine in 1996 and finished his residency in Family Medicine at Oklahoma University’s Tulsa branch in 1999.
In August 1999, Dr. Jones moved to Paris, Texas, to join the Paris Primary Care Group (PPCG). In 2001, PPCG dissolved and Dr. Jones was a founding partner of Paris Family Physicians before he broke off in 2002 to form Texas and Oklahoma Occupational Medicine Services, a full service occupational medicine clinic designed to meet the medical needs of the area’s businesses and industries.
Since his residency, when he “moonlighted” in an occupational health clinic, Dr. Jones has enjoyed working with industrial medicine. He has always been drawn to musculoskeletal and sports medicine, which is the majority of what he now practices as he manages work-place injuries. He likes working with patients who are motivated to go back to work and enjoys helping them to achieve that goal. He regularly solicits input from the health and safety directors of local companies and strives to meet any and all needs of the industrial community.
Dr. Jones is board certified through the American Academy of Family Practice. He is a certified independent medical examiner through the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners, and certified to perform impairment ratings by the Division of Workers’ Compensation in Texas. He is also a certified medical review officer and certified through the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) to train drug screen collectors and breath alcohol technicians. He is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Academy of Family Practice, the American Academy of Family Practice, and the National Association of Occupational Health Providers.
Dr. Jones is married to Dr. Monica Jones, a pediatrician who has put her practice on hold as she raises their 4 children, Mackenna, Spencer, Jacob and Chandler. Dr. Jones is an elder at the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ and spends a large amount of his free time involved in church activities. He also enjoys acting in or directing plays at the Paris Community Theatre, singing with his acapella quartet, “Rock Solid,” and spending as much time as possible with his family.
